Mel is the Director of Client Experience and Culture for Equivo. Mel is passionate about listening to our clients and developing products and services to support them. Mel will help to ensure Equivo is the best of the best in terms of its offering to clients, she recognises that our people and culture are of critical importance to deliver these outcomes. Mel is an expert in asset and motor finance recoveries.

Mel is well known within the Finance and Leasing Association and other trade bodies and was ranked in the Motor Finance - Power 50 for three years. The Motor Finance "Power 50" lists the top 50 most influential people in the UK Motor Finance industry.

She has more than 21 years experience in the asset finance industry and is known for being robust and commercial. She has particular expertise in dealing with recoveries litigation and regularly advises and trains clients in relation to legal and compliance issues surrounding collections and recoveries and fraud.

Having trained with Shoosmiths and qualifying in 2000, she returned to Shoosmiths in 2011 after a period at two other specialist firms. Mel remains a Partner of Shoosmiths but dedicated to the Equivo business and its board.
