John founded Equivo in response to the market opportunity for a national business to provide end-to-end capabilities across collections, legal services and enforcement as an integrated and tech-enabled service. John has led the growth and strategy of the business since inception in 2019.
John is an accomplished entrepreneur with success in founding and scaling innovative financial services businesses. He has an established career in the collections and enforcement sector and has become a well-known industry figure with a strong reputation for delivering service innovation, growth and excellence. John previously founded Burlington Group in 2009 which became the sector’s first business to receive FCA authorisation in 2014. Under John’s leadership, the business became a multi-award-winning national business and was wholly acquired by the UK’s largest judicial services group in 2015 leading to his full successful exit in 2017.
John sits on the Equivo board as Founder and CEO and is responsible for shaping the overall strategy and direction of the company.
