Jim is Managing Director of Equivo’s Litigation Division and responsible for all litigation activity across the business. Jim works with Equivo’s clients to design and implement efficient, innovative and compliant debt recovery strategies which put conduct risk at the core of our thinking.
Jim joined Shoosmiths LLP as a trainee in 1996 and qualified as a solicitor in 1998. He became a partner in 2006, leading the unsecured recoveries operation. Most recently, he headed Shoosmiths Consumer Finance Litigation and Recoveries practice before joining Equivo bringing his teams with him to create Equivo’s litigation division.
Jim has spent his whole career acting for banks, building societies, other lenders and debt purchasers and has a wealth of knowledge in dealing with consumer and commercial unsecured and secured debt recovery within a highly regulated environment.
